The weekend has been full of surprises with the announcement that school holidays have been brought forward a week. The last day of Term 1 is today, Monday, and school holidays begin tomorrow, Tuesday 24th March.
Term 2 begins for children on Wednesday 15th April.
We are asking that all parents connect to class Dojo. In the event of school closures next term, teachers will be setting activities and communicating with children and families through Class Dojo. We will continue to send Newsletters and updates by our Flexi Buzz app and email. Also, if you click on the Curriculum tab on the Home page of this website, you will see different links/apps teachers have listed to help support learning at home.
These holidays are going to be different to anything we have experienced before. We are asked to implement social distancing and cancel all unnecessary travel, even within the state. The closure of state borders in WA, NT, SA and Tasmania, together with school closures in Victoria, have highlighted the growing concerns of COVID 19. During the coming weeks, I ask that all families take the utmost caution in following government guidelines in what you can do. We must protect the health of the elderly and those with medical conditions who are more vulnerable to the Corona virus.
As a community, it is a time to check on our neighbours and ask how we might help others. Our school values of Kindness, Respect and Learning Together are what unite us as a school community . At this moment in time, the most important of these is Kindness.
Take care in the coming weeks and stay safe.
